My story

It all started with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion for cars.

My name is Eric, and I’m originally from France, where I spent nearly my entire career in the automotive industry. I began almost 20 years ago selling cars at a Renault dealership, gradually taking on more responsibility by mentoring the next generation of salespeople. From there, I moved up to become a Used Car Manager, and eventually, I was directly attached to the brand as a Used Car Manager Referent. In that role, I coached newly hired managers across dealerships nationwide, audited operations, and supported locations struggling with sales or customer satisfaction. It was an incredible journey — and, for many years, my career felt like a smooth ride.

 

But I made the bold decision to start everything over in another country, in another language, to offer better opportunities to my two kids.

It required courage and resilience — especially when you’ve been enjoying nine weeks of vacation a year! Moving to Canada in June 2021, and settling in Calgary, wasn’t easy. But the challenge was worth it.

 

When I began working in a dealership here, I quickly realized the customer-centric values I held so dearly were not always the norm. That’s why I created ES Auto — built on the belief that we can change the negative perception of dealerships in Canada by putting customer needs ahead of business interests. Balance is key to everything.

 

Now that I’m proudly Canadian (and Albertan!), I’m here to help change the way you think about buying a vehicle. Instead of walking into a dealership with an idea in mind and leaving with what they’re pushing you to buy, the ES Auto approach is simple: we focus on your needs, listen to what you want — and what you don’t want — to find the perfect fit for you.
